Meifod was a place that we had studied on the maps, too, for this was the last place "our" family, John & Esther Isaac, had lived before they came to the states in 1867 with their children. Although many of the other census had farm names that we could find on the maps, here they lived in town, and the only information we knew was that they lived in the cottages on Lower Street.
